The Claims Process
Experiencing a property or auto loss can seem overwhelming. PIB’s dedicated Claims Unit is here to support you every step of the way. We’ll guide you through the claims process
and help you get back to normal as quickly as possible.
Document and collect information
If it’s safe to do so, document your loss. This may include police reports, photos of damaged, destroyed or stolen items, and an inventory of your loss.
Report your claim
Have your policy number and details of the loss ready. For auto claims, gather:
- License plate number
- Vehicle details such as make, model, year
- Driver contact information (if different from the policyholder)
- Contact information and insurance details for any other parties involved.
File a Proof of Loss, if required
This form outlines your loss and the value of any damaged items. Be sure to attach supporting documentation such as photos or reports collected in Step 1.
